New Canaan Youth Baseball Player Evaluations

Saturday, March 14th

Time Slots for 2nd graders and "NEW TO NC BASEBALL" (3rd thru 7th Grade)

⚠️ Please Note: The evaluation process has changed for the upcoming 2026 season. Please read carefully for updated details.

ALL registered 2nd Grade players, EXCEPT for those on an NC Travel baseball team or those who attended the Travel baseball try-outs this past winter, and 3rd through 7th Grade players NEW TO THE NC REC BASEBALL PROGRAM athletes are encouraged to attend according to their last name. Players who are unable to make evaluation sessions (vacation, illness, etc.) are still assured a place on a team for the 2026 season. Please note, there will be no make-up session this year for players unable to attend the evaluations. Your athlete is guaranteed a spot on a team regardless of whether or not they attend the evaluations so please do not worry if they cannot make the March 14th event for any reason.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 14th, at Bobby Valentine’s Sports Academy (BVSA) located at 4 Largo Drive, Stamford, CT 06907.

All players are expected to bring their own glove, bat and batting helmet. No player equipment will be provided during tryouts. Players will participate in warm-up drills and then rotate through evaluation stations on fielding, throwing, catching, hitting and pitching.
