Travel Baseball
New Canaan Travel Baseball represents one of the the largest and most successful travel baseball programs in the country and is geared for players seeking a highly competitive baseball experience. Tryouts occur in November for the following Spring/Summer season.
Program Enhancements for 2025
Professionally Run Preseason Workouts
Coaches from Connecticut Baseball Club and New Canaan High School will oversee all preseason activities.
The coaching roster includes: Mitch Hoffman, Anthony Bloss (NCHS Head Coach), Jay Devito (NCHS Assistant Coach), Aaron Gallo (NCHS Assistant Coach), Isiah Daubon (Sacred Heart University Assistant Coach), Tyler Caserta (Fordham University Assistant Coach), along with current NCHS players and other coaches.
Individual Player Development Focus
Pre-season workouts will run in a format based on player development and establishing consistent skill foundations. The sessions will be “workouts” and not necessarily “team” specific, allowing players to receive work at various positions and further develop the foundational skills.
The focus will be on small group stations to maximize player repetitions and provide a platform for development.
Workouts will be overseen by Connecticut Baseball Club and NCHS coaches.
Team coaches will also participate to understand drills, techniques and progressions, allowing for coaching consistency across our program.
Additional Team-Specific Workouts
Availability for team-specific workouts on select Sundays. These sessions will be overseen by Connecticut Baseball Club staff and Mitch Hoffman helping prepare teams and coaches for the upcoming season.
